Lake Chelan. What more can you say about the location on the Eastern side of the Cascade mountains? The sleepy town gets woken up each year around the first of October by the roar of Allison and Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 aircraft engines when the museum brings over between four and six of the vintage unlimited hydroplanes. John Walcker, owner of the Grandview on the Lake resort, graciously sponsors us to come over and show off our toys.
